Platypus?

In my research it seems that a platypus is the closest to what this rock art formation represents. I don't know what significance historically in various cultures the platypus has but I am certain that there is some significance. This does not happen with natural erosion. This was done on purpose by man. I do not believe it was the Spanish. I believe it was far more ancient than that. I wish I knew what culture did this but I don't and I am open to suggestion or education if you will. Please tell me. If I am mistaken and this is not a platypus then again please tell me what it is.
