From page 13 of I Dare You. William H. Danforth quoting Colonel E. L. Daley.
"No longer will you step aside to let crusaders by. Others shall step aside for you because you are now a crusader. You have the ability to do things. You know where you are going. The world makes way for the man who knows where he is going.

I Dare You to Adventure
From the chapter in I Dare You by William H. Danforth, named "I dare you to adventure" are the following quotes.
"But remember, courage is not the absence of fear, it is the conquest of it. Not until you dare to attack will you master your fears." (p. 10)
"I have found opportunities do not come to those who wait. they are captured by those who attack" (p. 11)

I Dare You!
I just turned 62 years old on March 20, and celebrated, besides having cake and ice cream with family, by reading I Dare You by William H. Danforth. I had read it before but it was about 40 years ago when I was in high school or college. It was inspiring to read it again and I am sharing some quotes from the book. Here is one I like from page 7 and again on page 20 of the book.
"Our most valuable possessions are those which can be shared without lessening. those which, when shared, multiply. Out least valuable possessions are those which, when divided, are diminished."

Raccoon's back foot.
This is the back foot of the raccoon. Very interesting. The raccoon was reaching outside of the trap with it's front paws a good five inches. It was reaching past what would be its "elbow". It shredded the cover over the trap. It also went through about 3/4 inch wood to make a big enough hole to go into an attic. Last year raccoons made a much larger hole. It was a good foot and half long and about a half a foot wide.
Barking Raccoon
I took this video of a raccoon we trapped overnight on St. Patricks day. We have been trying for about a week to catch it. Raccoons keep getting into my neighbors attic so we had another friend who has trapped raccoons before set his trap. We caught a couple of cats earlier and finally caught a raccoon.

Old cabin on Price River near Beckwith Peak
This is a black and white picture that I took at Woodside, Utah back about 1977. This cabin and tree are no longer there as the river took them both soon after this picture was taken. I believe it was within two years. The river has since moved I would guess about 1/4 mile south. There seems to be at least a couple of good floods a year that can change the course of the Price River. Beckwith Peak is in the background. Notice the beach in the foreground. Beaches are not as common as they used to be on the Price River in Utah. In fact they are practically non-existent. I believe this has happened on other rivers as well.
